The science, briefly
Backed by research, not buzzwords.
In a controlled trial in 12 dogs and 12 cats, surgical wounds treated with Manuka honey had a significantly smaller wound area on ultrasound than untreated wounds, most clearly in dogs.1
The same trial found no cosmetic benefit, and a comparison wound product performed better overall.
A review of published research on Manuka honey in livestock and companion animals found good support for its antibacterial action, and some support for its role in wound care.2

Can dogs eat Manuka honey?

Can puppies have honey?
Not raw honey, and not before your puppy's first birthday. Young immune systems can't yet handle the natural spores found in raw honey, which is the same reason honey isn't given to babies under 12 months. Once your dog is fully grown, check with your vet before offering a small spoonful as a treat.
Is honey safe for cats?
In tiny amounts, yes for most healthy adult cats, but cats are meat-eaters and don't need sugar. Think a lick from the tip of a spoon now and then, not a regular serving. Avoid it for kittens and for diabetic or overweight cats, and ask your vet first. Our UMF™ 15+ is the everyday choice.

My dog has had skin issues, maybe allergy related, and Apoquel was only a temporary- and very expensive- fix. I started giving him a spoonful of MGO 263 and one of MGO 514 almost every day. He loves it! It has worked wonders for his skin issues. We highly recommend it!!!
I have been using this honey on my dog with interdigital cysts that used to break open and bleed. This has gone on for over 6 years and only mostly clear with antibiotics. I bought this to help heal my cats ear flaps from the medicine I have to put on them routinely. While it is sticky (duh, it's honey) it seems to be working really well to help heal them quickly. Thanks for a great quality product!
my cat scratched his ear so bad it was bleeding and all the hair was off his ear. I put manuka honey on it every day for 3 days and it was all healed up. Hair grew back and no problems since. I had a friend that burned her hand and I gave her some Manuka honey to put on it. She tells everyone about it. The pain went away and it healed up real fast and left no scarring. She is a believer. She tells everyone. I couldn't live without this honey.
I Highlyyyy recommend this product! My fur baby has tracheal collapse & is 18, he had a constant loud hacking especially in the middle of the night. I put the honey on a supplement for senior dogs w/ omegas to help possibly restore cartilage.. needless to say this honey has limited his loud hack and he lovess it! I know it wont cure his issue but it certainly helped way more than the terrible drugs they wanted me to give him that only made him quiet for a few hours but also made him not feel well. I will absolutely be a lifetime customer
