of all Manuka honey ever tested reaches UMF™ 30+. This grade is made in strictly limited batches.
The summit of the scale
UMF™ and MGO are two independent measures of Manuka's natural markers. At 30+ / 1620+, both sit at the very top of what nature produces.
The Unique Manuka Factor grades the honey's natural signature compounds and authenticity. The scale runs from 5+ upward, 30+ is the highest grade we bottle, and one of the highest certified anywhere.
Methylglyoxal (MGO) is the naturally occurring compound behind Manuka's distinctive character. A reading of 1620+ mg/kg is an exceptional concentration, the mark of a rare, potent harvest.
Only 0.02% of Manuka honey ever reaches this grade. It's traditionally enjoyed as part of a daily wellbeing ritual, and prized by connoisseurs for its remarkable depth of flavour.
Rare by nature, limited by supply.
This grade cannot be produced to order. It emerges only when a season, a site and a flowering align, and when our independent testing confirms the numbers. Every jar is produced in extremely limited quantities and released while stocks last.
Tracked & traced, hive to jar
Our hives sit in some of the most remote corners of New Zealand, where Manuka flowers in a short, intense window each summer. Our beekeepers work these sites by hand.
Under our PureTrace™ programme, every jar is traceable to the harvest it came from, independently tested, and UMF™ certified before it earns its label.
A spoonful, savoured
Take it straight from the spoon, morning or night, the simplest way to appreciate its full character.
Enjoy raw or stirred into warm, not boiling, drinks, so its natural compounds stay intact.
Keep sealed at room temperature, away from direct sun. A dry spoon keeps every jar at its best.
Find your grade
Every grade shares the same provenance and testing. As the UMF™ number climbs, so does rarity, potency and price. You're viewing the summit.
Why people take it
Methylglyoxal is the compound the UMF™ scale is built around. At MGO 1620+, this is the highest concentration we bottle.
Manuka honey carries thousands of naturally occurring compounds from the flowering Manuka bush, none of them added, none removed.
Never pasteurised or blended, so the honey reaches you as it left the hive. One teaspoon a day, as part of a balanced diet.
This product is a food, not a medicine. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

The buzz on the street
I purchased this for the health benefits. It's pricey (like, very) but I've read about the benefits and will continue to use. Taste is of course unbelievable :)
I bought this for my mom and she loves the flavor and is feeling the positive impacts of taking it every day.
The New Zealand Honey Co. Manuka Honey 30+ UMF 1620 MGO+ tastes the best! It's not too sweet, and it has a rich caramel consistency.

Specifications
Ingredients & nutrition
100% pure raw New Zealand Manuka honey. Nothing added, nothing removed. A natural source of sugars, best enjoyed as part of a balanced diet. Not suitable for infants under 12 months.
Storage & usage
Store sealed at room temperature, out of direct sunlight. Use a clean, dry spoon. Natural crystallisation over time is normal and does not affect quality.
If your honey crystallises: stand the jar in warm (not boiling) water, around 40°C, for 10–15 minutes and stir gently until it returns to a smooth, runny texture. Avoid microwaving or overheating, as high heat degrades the natural enzymes and UMF™ activity.
Shipping & returns
We offer free shipping on this Manuka Honey. We can only ship UMF™ 30+ to the USA. For more details on shipping & returns, read here.
Questions, answered
What makes UMF™ 30+ so rare?
UMF™ 30+ represents the very top of the grading scale. It depends on a rare combination of remote flowering sites, an intense harvest window and naturally elevated compound levels, conditions that align in only a fraction of harvests. Around 0.02% of all Manuka honey tested reaches this grade.
Why is it so expensive?
Price follows scarcity. Only a fraction of a single harvest ever tests at this grade, and every batch is independently laboratory tested and UMF™ certified before it is bottled.
What's in the gift box?
Every order arrives as a gift box containing the 250g jar of UMF™ 30+ | MGO 1620+ Manuka Honey, and a keepsake wooden honey spoon, presented in special gift packaging.
What's the difference between UMF™ and MGO?
UMF™ (Unique Manuka Factor) is an independent grading and authenticity system that checks several natural markers at once. MGO (methylglyoxal) measures one specific compound in mg/kg. UMF™ 30+ corresponds to MGO 1620+.
Is it available in other sizes?
Given its rarity, UMF™ 30+ is released in a single 250g (8.8oz) jar only.
How do I know it's authentic?
Every jar carries a UMF™ licence number and a batch code that traces back to the hives it came from. Each batch is tested by independent New Zealand laboratories.
